Distracted by life, in the spring of 2006, I set off for the beach on an assignment. I was looking down instead of looking up, but in moments such as those we can be rewarded, if we are open to possibilities. Thus began the series “Everything I know…I learned at the beach.”
Daily walks with my dog, Nikonos, turned into following the tide and following natures whim. I embraced the early morning hours, studied the long evening shadows, and observed the full moon tides. Journals accompanied camera and as the fleeting scenes vanished, I was reminded “cherish the moment, it will never come again.” |
