This
series began many years ago, but when the war broke out in
early 2003, I returned to the flowers and I returned to handpainting.
They are my university to learn about lighting, reflections,
design, poetry and grace. They are my love affair with shapes.
They are always there in my California garden, whatever
the season. On daily walks, they ask me to slow down, pause and be a
visual artist. The handpainting is a tranquil process, allowing
for quiet moments and peaceful visions.
I hope
looking at these images brings as much pleasure as making
them. |
