| “TRANSFORMATION…Un
Voyage de Bourgogne” Chateau la Chassagne Pont de Pany, Dijon, France Reception for the
Artists
For twelve years I have been in love with barging as a way to combine a visual and gourmet paradise. I began the workshops where the focus is photography and being good to yourself.. The leisurely pace is a perfect setting for manipulating polaroids into little gems and perfecting other techniques as we drift through the landscape sipping wine. What I notice during this week is the transformation that also happens to the students. Perhaps it is being on vacation that creates the inner space to explore this journey as a gift. Reflections on water become reflections on life. Around each bend we walk into a painting, where life has slowed and the locals are welcoming. In today’s busy world, we have forgotten how to be still, yet as we pause to rest and watch the puffy clouds go by, we have time to be creative, to make hand made books, to keep journals or just be. I am honored to have this exhibition of my various trips through Burgundy and pleased to present images from my 2003 workshop class. Not all participants started this journey as photographers, but all tapped into their creativity along the way. I am grateful to all those that have made these moments so special and to the kindness of those along the canal. “TRANSFORMATION…Un Voyage de Bourgogne” is a way of sharing the journeys with those that make them possible.
