Registration and Cancellation Policy

I rely on your attendance to make important arrangements, especially for foreign workshops, so if for any reason you need to withdraw, please notify me 45 days or more before the start date of your workshop. At that time I will refund your deposit, less a $150 cancellation fee. If notification of cancellation is made 15 to 45 days before the start of the workshop, I must retain a $300 deposit. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the workshop begins. If notification of cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the workshop, I must retain the entire balance paid. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the workshop begins. The Opalenik Photographic Ateliers is not responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies. I highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance (see below). In the event that a workshop must be canceled due to inadequate enrollment, all fees and deposits are refunded in full or may be transferred to another workshop within 12 months. Opalenik Photographic Ateliers is not responsible for reimbursement of nonrefundable airline tickets in the event of a workshop cancellation.
There are no exceptions to the Cancellation and Transfer Policy. We live in a tumultuous time for travel these days. I hope you understand that I am a small workshop operator and must abide by the constraints and deposits my hotels, barges and others apply to my bookings. I appreciate your business and continued support and will be happy to discuss any of the above with you. If I should have a medical emergency, a suitable instructor will conduct the class and you will also have the option of a full refund of the tuition paid.

Travel Insurance: I strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Access America is one such provider although there are many. I suggest the "Comprehensive" plan, which offers coverage for medical and dental emergencies, lost baggage, missed connections, and trip cancellation should you have a medical problem that prevents you from attending.
